What does a man and van cost?
You choose the van, the crew and the hours, and the rate follows from that. A Transit with a driver and one mover for two hours is £170 on our own card. There is a two-hour minimum.
What if the job runs over?
Extra time is charged at the same hourly rate. There is no penalty for guessing low, and nothing changes without you being told first.
Do you charge for stairs?
Not on the hourly service. You are buying time, and stairs use it — which is why we ask about floors even though there is no separate charge.
Which van should I pick?
If you are between two, the bigger one usually costs less than a second trip. The page tells you what each size typically takes.
Can I help carry to save money?
Yes, and plenty of people do. It will not change the hourly rate, but it can reduce the hours — which is the part you pay for.
How many people do I get?
You choose: a driver on his own, a driver and a helper, or more. Each extra pair of hands is £50 an hour, and you see it on the price before you book.
Do you charge me for traffic?
Under 30 minutes each way from our base, no — you pay for time on site. Further out, the round trip is added as travel time at 70% of one driver's rate, as its own line, before you book. Traffic on the day does not change a price you have already been given.
